From this week’s surfing…
- Google Maps Mobile. Make sure you have enough download credit — it’s not exactly bandwidth-lite.
- phpMyID. Set up and run an Open ID server for your own domain in five minutes.
- 100% renewable power for the UK by 2027 might be possible according to the Centre for Alternative Technology. Shame this is also 100% unlikely to happen.
- The Beastie Boys hook back up with Money Mark and get on down for The Mix Up
- Hero Cabbie: Police Took My Good Nike Trainers. Hilarious. As is this.
- A new neologism entered my vocabulary. I do a lot of yak shaving.
- Coding Horror. Fantastic articles by the dozen from Jeff Atwood.
- RailsConf Europe. Roll on September.
- Yes, I want one too.

Been picking up bits and pieces of that Beastie Boy release on the BBC (Gilles Peterson show). Good music to get some work done.
Isn’t yak shaving an old neologism? Can a neologism even be new or old? Surely then it’s a tautology or an oxymoron?
I’ll be quiet now.
