		<description>Some would disagree that the UK lacks a technology centre like Silicon Valley.  Obviously our coast is not lapped by the sparkling Pacific Ocean, but we do have at least one strong, sustainable area of technology, funding and entrepreneurship: Cambridge and its environs, aka Silicon Fen.

Having said that, few of the technology start-ups there are into webapps.  They mostly do hard technology :)</description>
